By controlling the speed of nanomechanical motion, we can achieve conformational transmission over 1 - 3 nm en¬abling the release of a catalyst or the reduction of product inhibition! Since the motional speed may also be regulated by brake stones or remote allosteric effects, one can finetune the rate of catalysis and even build rotating machines that catalyze formation of another catalytic machi¬nery in motion, in principle a small step toward the evolution of machinery.
