Reaching net zero by 2050 is an extremely challenging target for our today’s society.
For sure, it cannot be fulfilled within the existing patterns and value chains.
Clearly, there is a need for a paradigm shift which holds true for the chemical industry as well.
In a nutshell, the evolution towards more sustainable chemical production will comprise of several approaches such as renewable raw materials, chemical recycling, C1 based chemistry and electrification.
