In biomedical settings, DNA origami can be integrated into robotic devices, gene-editing tools, delivery vehicles, sensors, and diagnostic platforms. However, under physiological conditions these structures may suffer from poor stability. Here, Prof. Linko presents some very recent results dealing with these topics: (1) Elemental structural features for environment-dependent stability (2) DNA origami superstructure in drug release (3) Static & stimuli-responsive coatings to protect DNA origami.
