Bayesian Optimization (BO) is increasingly recognized as a powerful tool for experimental planning in data-scarce environments, yet its industrial adoption remains limited. In this joint lightning talk, the BoFire and BayBe teams will share insights from their experiences developing and deploying Bayesian Optimization Capabilities in an industrial setting:
We’ll start with a brief overview of the core concepts and motivations behind BO. From there, we’ll share success stories from real-world applications, highlight challenges encountered during implementation, and reflect on what helped teams move forward. Finally, we’ll offer an outlook on where BO is headed in industry and how collaborative development and shared practices can support broader adoption.
