Outside Back Cover: Metal‐Responsive Up‐Regulation of Bifunctional Disulfides for Suppressing Protein Misfolding and Promoting Oxidative Folding (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 36/2025)

In their Research Article (e202502187), Keira Mori, Takahiro Muraoka, and co-workers developed a bifunctional compound containing metal-binding ligands and a redox-active disulfide, namely cyclam-SS, whose oxidative strength is up-regulated under metal stress for efficient protein folding. The cover image illustrates the bifunctional feature of cyclam-SS in the presence of stress-causing metal cations: suppression of metal-mediated protein misfolding and promotion of oxidative protein folding.
