Ecologic and Economic Evaluation of Combined Green Methanol Synthesis from CO2 and Biotechnological Upgrading to Value Products, Part 2: Economic Impact
Von Wiley-VCH zur Verfügung gestellt
A techno-economic assessment was made on the use of green methanol from carbon dioxide and green hydrogen and the subsequent biotechnological conversion to value products. The operational and the capital expenditure were calculated and compared to existing manufacturing routes, revealing that the process still needs to be optimized from an economic perspective.
Abstract
The implementation of a techno-economic assessment on the use of green methanol from carbon dioxide and green hydrogen and the subsequent biotechnological conversion to value products is described. The operational expenditure and the capital expenditure were calculated for this process and compared to existing manufacturing routes, revealing that the process still needs to be optimized from an economic perspective.
