Wöhler Association for Inorganic Chemistry

Inorganic chemistry is a fundamental basic discipline of chemistry, and its boundaries can hardly be discerned in the course of the increasing interdisciplinarity of modern research. In addition to fundamental teaching and research, which has a decisive influence on the understanding of chemistry itself, it plays a central role in the rapid developments in the natural sciences and encompasses a large number of highly topical and forward-looking fields of research with enormous breadth - from exciting molecular chemistry to the design of novel catalysts and materials for energy research to supramolecular and bioinorganic chemistry at the interface with the life sciences.
