The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has become a key technological and scientific approach in preclinical drug research. By analysing high-dimensional biological and chemical data sets, AI methods make it possible to significantly accelerate and refine early development phases. Various AI-based approaches help to capture complex molecular relationships and provide data-driven support for experimental decision-making processes. The increasing integration and improvement of multimodal data sources as well as advances in AI approaches will further transform preclinical research.
