The 10th SEC Annual Meeting of Senior Expert Chemists (SEC) will take place in Bayreuth: 4-6 May 2026. The motto of the Conference is "Shaping the future with chemistry". In 2026, we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary of the SEC, especially in Bayreuth. On the official website of the GDCh (gdch.de/sec2026) since 14 Aug 25 the scientific programme and the framework programme can be viewed. It is also possible to register for the annual meeting.

We can already reveal one special feature from the programme here: Ben Feringa (Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2016) will speak about "From molecular machines to photopharmacology" before our festive evening on 5 May 2026.

After two annual Conferences in Saxony-Anhalt, this time we have decided in favour of a Conference in southern Germany. The 2026 Conference can also take place "under one roof" in the Arvena Hotel in the centre of Bayreuth (900 m walk from the main railway station). We are already inviting you to this meeting; please make a note of the date. Preparations for the meeting are in full swing.
