Fritz Straßmann Award
§1 The Board of the Division of Nuclear Chemistry decides to award a Division Award under the name "Fritz Straßmann Award".
§2 The Fritz Straßmann Award is presented to established scientists who have made outstanding achievements in the field of nuclear chemistry.
§3 As a rule, the prize can be awarded every four years.
§4 All members of the Division are entitled to nominate candidates. Self-applications are excluded. The members of the Board of the Division and the Advisory Board decide on the award by a simple majority of votes. In the event of a tie, the vote of the chair of the specialist group shall be decisive.§5 Proposals must be submitted to the GDCh Office in electronic form. The proposal must be accompanied by:
§6 If possible, the award should be presented in conjunction with a Division conference and a lecture by the award winner. The award includes a certificate that highlights the merits of the honouree. The prize is endowed with 2500,- Euro.
§7 Amendments to these statutes are only possible with a 2/3 majority of the Board of the Division.

The Board of Directors of the GDCh Division of Nuclear Chemistry announces the Fritz Straßmann Award for the year 2026. The prize will be awarded at the annual conference of the division, which will take place in Mainz from 22 to 24 September 2026.
The Fritz Straßmann Award is presented every four years to established scientists who have made outstanding achievements in the field of nuclear chemistry. The prize is endowed with 2500 euros.
