Nuclear chemistry
Founded in 1956, the Division of Nuclear Chemistry sees its main task in promoting nuclear, radio and radiation chemistry and the students, technicians and scientists working in these fields. The main focus is on providing information about new results and applications.

The Division of Nuclear Chemistry in the German Chemical Society represents the scientists and engineers who handle radioactive substances and ionising radiation in their work and use them for the purposes of research, industry, medicine and teaching. The Board consists of the Chairman, his deputy and up to five assessors, whereby the universities, industry and research centres should be represented. The Board of the Division is supported in an advisory capacity by an Advisory Board, which also includes student members.more
JuRadChem - the youth organisation of the FG Nuclear Chemistry - is a national network for students and young graduates with up to three years of professional experience who are interested in radio-, nuclear- or actinide chemistry. more

With the Fritz Straßmann Award, the Division honours established personalities who have made outstanding achievements in the field of nuclear chemistry .
