The Division of Macromolecular Chemistry of the GDCh Division of Macromolecular Chemistry promotes the participation of young scientists in national and international Conferences, seminars or workshops by awarding travel grants. General framework conditions:

• Target group: Students
• Prerequisite: Active participation in the event, i.e. presentation of a lecture or poster
• Funding amounts: Individual decision (approx. 250 euros for events in Europe)
• Funding for max.
• All events must have a clear reference to macromolecular chemistry and to the respective research work .
• Funding is based on the cash balance of the Division. There is no entitlement to funding.

Participation in selected events (e.g. Division conference MAKRO) is promoted in a special way by the Division of Macromolecular Chemistry by awarding individually advertised scholarships.

There are currently no scholarships available for selected Conferences.

The Division of Macromolecular Chemistry awards a limited number of scholarships for freely selectable events. These scholarships can be applied for by email to Dr Lisa Pecher (GDCh Office) under the keyword "conference scholarship macromolecular chemistry" at least three weeks before the start of the event . The complete application contains the following documents:

• completed application form,
• short justification (max. 1 page) incl.
• Abstract of the conference fee,
• Confirmation of acceptance of the conference fee,
• Proof of registration for the conference.
