Detergent chemistry

The rapid developments in the field of detergent and cleaning chemistry and technology since the 1950s and the many ecological, human-toxicological and other challenges associated with this have made cooperation between all those involved in this field from universities, research institutes, authorities and the raw materials and detergent industries imperative.
The GDCh Division of Detergent Chemistry was founded in Bamberg in 1974 as a forum for the exchange of scientific opinions and experience. Since then, discussions on all technical issues relating to detergents and cleaning agents have been conducted openly and constructively within this forum. Particular attention is paid to science-oriented statements on the sustainable benefits for people in their environment and the promotion of young scientists.
