The doctoral seminar on the chemistry of construction materials 2023 took place on the grounds of the European Youth Education and Meeting Centre Weimar. Nine doctoral students used this opportunity to exchange scientific ideas and present their doctoral topics. In addition to the scientific exchange, the programme included a barbecue evening, an afternoon walk to famous Bauhaus sites, a visit to the "Schmale Handtuch" (a Weimar institution where beer has been tapped for thirsty people - including many students - for more than 100 years) and a guided tour of the laboratories of the Chair of Chemistry of Construction Materials and Polymeric Materials, which are equipped with state-of-the-art testing and analysis technology.
