The Division of Chemistry & Energy of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) promotes the participation of young scientists in national and international Conferences, seminars or workshops by awarding various travel grants.

Framework conditions:

Active participation in selected events (e.g. Division conference) is particularly encouraged by the Division of Chemistry & Energy through the award of individually advertised travel grants.

There are currently no travel grants available for selected conferences.

The Division of Chemistry & Energy is awarding a limited number of travel grants for the year 2025 for active participation in freely selectable conferences. These can be applied for at any time from Dr Lisa Pecher under the keyword "Conference Scholarship Chemistry & Energy" up to three weeks before the start of the event at the latest. Each application contains the following documents:

• completed Application form,
• abstract of the conference contribution (poster/presentation),
• short explanation (2-3 sentences) of how the conference contribution is relevant to the topic area of chemistry & energy (e.g. energy application),
• short explanation (2-3 sentences) of how the conference contribution is relevant to the topic area of chemistry & energy.e.g. energy application),
• Confirmation of acceptance of the conference contribution,
• Proof of registration.

Maximum funding amount: 400 euros (national Conferences), 500 euros (Europe), 600 euros (outside Europe)
